Accessibility & Accommodations

American Sign Language (ASL) & Communication Access Realtime Translation (CART) Offerings:

  • General Sessions & Main Stage
    • CART services and ASL interpretation are available for in-person attendees.
    • CART services and Automated Speech Recognition (ASR) Captions (also known as closed captioning) are available for virtual attendees.
  • Concurrent & Other Sessions
    • For in-person attendees, please request:
      • At least 5 business days before the start of the conference for CART requests.
      • At least 7 calendar days before the start of the conference for ASL interpretation.
    • If requested less than 5 business days, please contact SHRM Customer Experience for more information
    • Automated Speech Recognition (ASR) Captions (also known as closed captioning) are available for virtual attendees.

Accessible Seating

For each General Session or Concurrent Session, we offer reserved accessible seating. For wheelchair spaces, there are marked floor decals with the wheelchair symbol. For accessible and companion seats, there are blue cloth seat covers marked “Reserved” on seats located throughout the room. If you cannot locate the reserved accessible seating, please see SHRM staff or a volunteer to usher you to the designated area. Please note, for sold out events, these seats are released for general seating 5-10 minutes before the session begins.

Food & Beverage including Dietary Restrictions

  • During your initial registration, information on dietary restrictions was collected. If you need to make any updates, please contact SHRM Customer Experience.
  • Full conference attendees are entitled to food & beverages during conference hours.
    • Food & beverages are not provided to guest passes. To upgrade your registration to full conference to get food & beverage access, please see Attendee Services.

Gender Neutral Restrooms

  • Attendees can find gender neutral restrooms in both the West and North Halls labeled “Family Restroom.”
  • During your hotel stay, contact your hotel directly if you have additional accessibility and accommodations needs.

Lactation or Prayer & Meditation Room

  • There is a Lactation Room located in the Las Vegas Convention Center’s West Hall outside of W3 and in the North Hall by the room N255.
  • The Prayer & Meditation Room will be located on the second level of North Hall in room N218.

Scooter Rental

If you require a scooter rental, you can contact Scootaround at 1-888-441-7575 and a customer representative will help you complete your booking and have it delivered to your hotel or onsite at the Las Vegas Convention Center. We recommend completing your rental at least one week prior to when you will arrive as there may be limited quantities available.

Security

For the security and safety of attendees, guests, and staff, the SHRM23 conference badge must be worn at all times. Badges & lanyards can be picked up in Attendee Services located in the Las Vegas Convention Center’s West Hall in W1. Each individual badge needs to be picked up by the individual attendee and cannot be picked up by a representative from your organization.

  • If you have lost or misplaced your badge and/or lanyard, please see Attendee Services to get a replacement for a $50 fee.
    • Guest tickets to the Tuesday Night Concert cannot be reprinted.
  • For all sponsors, exhibitors and booth staff, special expo access badges & lanyards can be picked up in the West Hall outside of W2.

Session Materials

Speakers have been asked to submit resources and if received, resources have been uploaded to the speaker’s session(s) and/or https://presentations.shrm.org/. If the session is not listed, we may not have received anything from that speaker. Please note: Due to the sensitivity of some information, speakers may include content in their slide deck(s) that they cannot save or share for public consumption. Also, some speakers may not share slides until after the conference has concluded. If you still do not find any resources, please reach out to the speaker directly for more information.

The app will be available about 1 week prior to the conference. To download the app:

  • Sign in with your SHRM credentials to access all event information.

What to Wear

The weather in Las Vegas can be warm, while inside the meeting space you may want to bring a sweater or light jacket as the rooms could be chilly. Most importantly, we recommend wearing comfortable shoes!

Parking & Transportation

SHRM23 will be taking place in both the West Hall and North Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center with the nearest parking in the Diamond and Silver lots. Self-parking rates are $10 daily.

Shuttle buses will be available to transport you from select SHRM23 hotels to the Las Vegas Convention Center. Shuttle schedule is available for download here.

Alternatively, you can use the Las Vegas Monorial which has seven stations located at MGM Grand, Bally’s/Paris Las Vegas, Flamingo/Caesars Palace, Harrah’s/The LINQ, Las Vegas Convention Center, Westgate Las Vegas and SLS Las Vegas.

Take Advantage of Monorail Discounts for SHRM23! Make sure to purchase your discounted tickets at https://tix.lvmonorail.com/SHRM23 for the best rates available. Paper tickets purchased at ticket vending machines and customer service desks on Monorail stations are full price.

Vegas Loop at the Las Vegas Convention Center quickly transports passengers throughout the 200-acre Las Vegas Convention Center campus in a fun and convenient way, free of charge. Attendees can access Vegas Loop at Las Vegas Convention Center via these stations:

  • Central Station – Near the Central Hall Main Entrance, this station is located below ground and is accessible via escalator or elevator
  • West Station – Adjacent to West Hall, this station is located aboveground
  • Riviera Station – At the North side of the West Hall closest to Elvis Presley Drive, with direct access to Resorts World. This station is located aboveground.

SHRM23 Concert

Additional guest concert ticket passes are $150 per person with a limit of 10 purchases per attendee. To purchase an additional ticket, you can do so one of 3 ways:

  • Calling Customer Service – you can call and pay over the phone for the additional ticket(s).
  • Log back in on the SHRMStore and click “Next” button to get to the Add-Ons. If you scroll to the bottom, you will find the “Tuesday Night Concert” section to purchase additional tickets.
  • Come onsite and purchase an additional ticket – the rate does not change – we will have a mobile kiosk outside the concert space for people to purchase additional tickets.
  • Purchase early as there are limited quantities.

Please Note: there are no large bags permitted for the concert.

Health & Safety

SHRM continues to follow the venue, local and state guidelines to provide a safe environment for all attending. Please review our Event Policies page for more information prior to coming onsite.

Luggage Check

Due to limited space at the LVCC, we encourage you to check-in your luggage directly at your hotel. However, if you need to store your luggage at the LVCC from Sunday to Tuesday, you can bring it to the FedEx inside the Convention Center and they will store your luggage for a fee per day.

Virtual Platform Access

You will gain access to the SHRM23 virtual event platform a few days prior to the conference with a unique link being sent via email. This is where you’ll be able to:

  • Build your agenda and take session surveys.
  • Setup your profile and network with other attendees.
  • Find related resources, event info and FAQs.
  • Re-watch sessions for 60 days post-conference.

All virtual sessions inherently run the risk of audio or visual issues due to factors out of our control. If any technical difficulties arise, we appreciate your patience and understanding as we work diligently to resolve it.
