Previously registered for SHRM20 in San Diego? Great! We’ve secured your spot and transferred your registration to SHRM21 in Chicago.

Not able to commit right now to join us in Chicago? That’s OK. Please fill out this Online form and our Customer Experience team will be happy to assist you. You have until June 9, 2020 to transfer to another SHRM event or request a refund.

Housing

Attendees who have made a reservation through MCI USA, our official SHRM housing vendor, your SHRM20 hotel reservation will be automatically cancelled and your deposit will be transferred to your SHRM21 housing reservation. You will receive notification from MCI USA the week of May 18 with instructions on booking your new hotel accommodations in Chicago and transferring your deposit. Should you decide not to secure your hotel for SHRM21 early, and would like a full refund, you must contact MCI USA by emailing shrm@mcievents.com by June 26, 2020. Given the circumstances due to COVID-19 and the significant backlog, refunds may take up to 90 days to process.

Attendees who did not use MCI USA to make your SHRM20 hotel reservation will need to contact the hotel directly to cancel.

Hotel Cancellations*
Attendees who have made a reservation through MCI USA, our official SHRM housing vendor, your SHRM20 hotel reservation will be automatically cancelled and your deposit will be transferred to your SHRM21 housing reservation. SHRM20 Cancellation and Transfer Policy**
Attendees registered for the SHRM20 Annual Conference will be automatically transferred to the SHRM21 Annual Conference in Chicago, June 20-23, 2021. SHRM20 attendees will not be responsible for paying any price difference should the cost of registration be higher than what was initially paid. This includes: Full Conference Registrations, Day Passes and Expo Hall Passes, and applies to volunteer leaders, students and advisors.
If an attendee prefers to cancel their registration and receive a refund, they must contact SHRM’s Customer Experience before June 9, 2020 by using our online form. Given the circumstances due to COVID-19, SHRM will issue full refunds. Refunds may take up to 90 days to process.
Attendees who do not attend the event and/or do not contact SHRM via written correspondence during the set window as directed above will be responsible for the full attendee registration fee.
If a SHRM member transfers their registration to a nonmember, the nonmember must do one of two things: pay the difference of the SHRM member and nonmember price at the time of the transfer, or become a SHRM member at the time of transfer.
Cancellations of conference add-on activities: cancellations can include a credit, transfer or refund for each conference add-on, including preconference workshops, educational programs, senior leadership programs, interpretation services, the guest program, and SHRM On Demand.

SHRM21 Cancellation and Transfer Policy**
For General Attendees
• All registration transfers or cancellations must be in writing using our online form.
• Cancellations by December 31, 2020 will receive a full refund minus a $250 cancellation fee.
• Cancellations received from January 1 through April 23, 2021 will be refunded fifty percent (50%) of the registration fee.
• Cancellations after April 23, 2021 are nonrefundable.
• If an attendee chooses the option to transfer the registration to another SHRM event they are responsible for paying any price difference (if applicable).
• Attendees who do not attend the event and/or do not contact SHRM via written correspondence during the set windows as directed above will be responsible for the full attendee registration fee.
• If a SHRM member transfers their registration to a nonmember, the nonmember must do one of two things: Pay the difference of the SHRM member and nonmember price at the time of the transfer, or become a SHRM member at the time of transfer.

Cancellations of conference add-on activities: an additional cancellation fee of $75 will be charged for each conference add-on, including preconference workshops, educational programs, senior leadership programs, interpretation services and the guest program. No refunds will be given for SHRM On Demand.

For Volunteer Leaders, Students and Advisors
A cancellation must be in writing using our online form. Confirmed registrants may cancel and receive a full refund minus a $75 administrative fee until April 23, 2021. Cancellations received after April 23, 2021 are nonrefundable.
