Global Country Superstar Brad Paisley to Perform at SHRM22

Award-winning country music star Brad Paisley will headline a concert at the SHRM Annual Conference & Expo 2022 in New Orleans on June 14.

Paisley’s concert will kick off at 8 p.m. CT. Virtual attendees can watch the performance live in the virtual platform.

Paisley has 24 No. 1 hits on the country charts, of which he wrote 21. He was the first artist to achieve 10 consecutive Billboard Country Airplay No. 1 singles. His performances and prolific songwriting have won him 15 Academy of Country Music Awards, 14 Country Music Association Awards (CMA Awards), three Grammys and two American Music Awards. Paisley co-hosted the CMA Awards show for 11 years alongside Carrie Underwood.

Better Workplaces Challenge Cup 2022

The final round of the Better Workplaces Challenge Cup will be held at the New Orleans Convention Center during SHRM22. The annual competition aims to bridge the gap between companies that are creating workplace technologies and their end-users: HR professionals and their workforces.

Competitors are evaluated on business viability, innovation and added value to SHRM members. The winner receives a $50,000 cash prize and/or other investment opportunities and prizes.

New Award to Honor Ethical Leadership

The winner of the first William G. McGowan Ethical Leader of the Year Award will be recognized at SHRM22.

McGowan was an entrepreneur who headed telecommunications giant MCI for 24 years until his death in 1992. The William G. McGowan Charitable Fund was established after his death to provide financial support to organizations that reflect McGowan’s visions, concerns and life experiences.

SHRM President and CEO Johnny C. Taylor, Jr., SHRM-SCP, is on the panel of judges charged with recognizing a chief executive officer who is finding ways to Cause the Effect they want to see in the workplace “by going above and beyond to establish a high bar of ethics within their leadership and their organization.” Read More
