The general sessions provide you with the unique opportunity to hear from business leaders with diverse perspectives. Our keynote speakers are leaders in their industries and allow you to hear thought-provoking topics ranging from driving innovation within your organization to tips on how to be a better team player.
Concurrent Session & Mega Sessions
Mega sessions and concurrent sessions are the educational backbone of the conference and provide a classroom-style learning experience. The difference between a mega session and a concurrent session is just the size of the room – you can expect a larger room and crowd for mega sessions. These sessions allow you the most personal customization – you can select from a wide variety of topics during each time slot to help you focus on the issues/areas that are most relevant to your needs.
Our Masters Series feature academicians and thought leaders from top universities. These sessions are longer than concurrent sessions to allow for a deeper dive into content. Masters series speakers are experts in their fields and will share innovative research and practical takeaways you can take back to work.
The preconference offerings are divided into SHRM Seminars and Workshops. These offerings are designed to give you a deeper dive into a topic of your choice. They are not included in the conference pricing – preregistration and an additional fee is required.
Smart Stage (Sessions to be added soon!)
The Smart Stage sessions provide relevant, topical information in concise, 18-minute segments. Sessions will cover topics ranging from tips to navigate the conference, onboarding, employee recognition to leadership and personal development strategies and much more.

You can add sessions to MY SCHEDULE by clicking ADD TO MY SCHEDULE. The sessions you add to MY SCHEDULE on annual.shrm.org with automatically sync with your schedule in the app when it goes live.
As you plan your schedule, keep in mind that sessions are first-come, first-serve. While you do not need to register for sessions ahead of time, we recommend you arrive early to ensure you get a seat. Have a backup session for each timeframe in case a session fills up. Also, be sure to note the sessions that are repeated.
Adding a session to MY SCHEDULE does not register you for the conference. You must register for the conference in order to gain access to the sessions. Additionally, the preconference programming is not included in the registration fee, you must add that to your registration for an additional fee.
