Valerie is the Principal of Val Grubb & Associates, Ltd. (www.valgrubbandassociates.com), which she founded in September 2008. Her company specializes in Leadership, Management and Financial Skills Training and supports companies in a variety of industries, including retail, entertainment, automotive, pharmaceuticals, non-profit and more.  

Previously, Val helped found the Oxygen Channel in 1999 with Oprah Winfrey and Gerry Laybourne where she was the VP of Operations.  She was instrumental in the sale of Oxygen to NBC Universal and she was promoted to VP of Strategic Operations for NBCU before stepping away to found her own company.  

Val graduated with a Mechanical Engineering degree from Kettering University (formerly General Motors Institute) and earned her MBA from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University.
