The HR People + Strategy CHRO Summit is an exclusive event designed for chief human resource officers (CHROs).  Limited to 60 CHROs, this daylong program explores the latest thinking and business strategies that drive innovation and organizational success. 

Participants will have the opportunity to engage in thought-provoking discussion and knowledge-sharing with business and thought leaders and to expand their professional network. 

The gathering of global CHROs at our Summit works towards defining the future of the Human Resources profession. 
 

WHO SHOULD ATTEND THIS PROGRAM?

The Summit is designed exclusively for the head of HR within their organization, has at least 15 years of experience, and who has been given the responsibility of helping shape the strategic direction of their mid-sized to large organizations of 1,000 or more employees and/or $500 million or more in annual revenue.

Michael Arena is the VP Talent & Development for Amazon Web Services (AWS).  He is responsible for the global talent, leadership development, and new employee success solutions necessary to enable growth and innovation of AWS. Prior to AWS he was the chief talent officer at General Motors where he employed an evidence-based approach to driving organizational performance, leveraging such concepts as predictive analytics and network analysis to empirically determine talent needs across the pipeline.  Arena also launched GM2020, which is a grassroots initiative designed to enable employees to connect and create across the organization and was highlighted in Fast Company and Fortune magazines.  In addition to his current responsibilities at AWS, Arena also teaches in the University of Pennsylvania masters in Organizational Dynamics program.

Prior to joining Accenture Strategy's Talent & Organization unit, he held other leadership roles, most recently, as vice president of McKinsey & Co.'s OrgSolutions business. Bazigos earned his bachelor's degree in psychology from Pace University, first master's in industrial psychology from New York University, and second master's and Ph.D. in organizational psychology from Columbia University, where he also served as adjunct faculty in that graduate program.
